Photo Manipulation

A blog that I frequent is having a photo manipulation project every other week. This is the first time I have tried this and I am still fairly new to photoshop, but I enjoyed giving it a try. The idea is that he gives you an image straight out of the camera and you are to make all the necessary adjustments and then put your own spin on it. So here are mine...

I would love to hear feedback. I am still trying to decide whether to send mine in...he's a pro for heaven's sake!

Pain and Prayer

Well my hubby and I are off this evening to spend the weekend focusing on our marriage. We are attending the Weekend to Remember at the Radisson. It's nice to have a whole weekend to focus on us. No wiping noses. No "Please Mommy". No "I don't like this (for dinner)". Don't get me wrong we love our children but we know we are better parents when we take time to focus on ourselves and each other. So if you are not joining us at the Radisson, take time to pray for your marriage and the marriages of loved ones and friends. And maybe sneak off for a little couple time.

ps And pray for my back to be healed and my pain to be eased enough to enjoy this weekend. It's amazing how moving a couple, okay more like 18,000 boxes, of Girl Scout cookies can screw up your back.

Sticking with tradition...we always take a family photo after our Easter brunch. So here is this years!

Spring Berries

Today is rainy and dreary here in Michigan. Where is the sunshine and where is spring? It would really be nice if the temperatures were near where they should be. So I am dreaming of the lovely spring day when I shot this photo...

The Purple Turtles

Madison went and bowled in the youth state bowling tournament last weekend. Her team was the Purple Turtles (look closely on each of their balls to see their new friends). She bowled 6 games on Saturday and three more on Sunday. Her average is 61 and she hit her average every game. She had 5 games in the 90's including 2 games of 99! That's a lot of games for a little girl who is only used to bowling 2 games a week! Great Job Madison!

I just love weddings! Some friends from church were married over three years ago by a justice of the peace and have always wanted a church wedding. So this weekend they renewed their vows in a beautiful ceremony. They asked me snap a few pictures while I was there...huge mistake! They got more than they bargained for! My husband was totally shocked to learn that I had taken about 300 pictures. Their daughters are so beautiful, as you can see, and the camera is truly drawn to them. Well now they can remember every moment of this special day!

1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:

2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,

3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,

4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,

5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,

6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,

7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,

8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
