Rockin' Knights Relay for Life Team

It's no secret that the Knight Family and cancer are frequently used in the same sentence. We have family who have survived it, are fighting it and have died of it. We have a soft place in our heart for the American Cancer Society. The ACS's big fundraising event is the Relay for Life.

Allegan County Relay for Life is August 7th & 8th and for some reason they are making it harder to raise money this year...so it's time to get creative!

I am going to donate 20% of all sales of my Letter Art Signs, Frames and Notecards. They are on display at B & C Trophy but I wanted to include some photos on here in case you can't stop by and check them out.

The Letter Art Signs come in stock words such as WELCOME, FAITH, HOPE, PRAY, FAMILY, FRIENDS, JOY, BELIEVE. I can also do any word or name too.

The latest project I have been doing is framed prints of letter art. Again there are some stock choices that also include a bible verse or you can customize them.

I love the wedding ones - use a last name in letter art...add first names and wedding date and you have a cool, unique wedding gift.

I am also donating 20% from all photographic services - wedding, engagement, senior pictures, new babies, maternity, kids, family etc!

So if you are in the need for any of these items or services - help out a good cause and let's raise some money to find a cure!

CANCER SUCKS!

Points of View #4

Ok so yesterday's post was about a week behind because this is this week's Point of View.

Before...

After...

For this image I was going for a dreamy quality. I used both Photoshop and Picasa to put on these touches. If you can't afford a program like Photoshop. There are many free or inexpensive choices that will give you lots of options to enhance and add creative touches to your photos - you can download Picasa free of the internet.

Happy Photoshop-ing!

Points of View #3

This is the third submission I have created for the Jason D. Moore Points of View project. This is a fun series where he takes the photo and we transform it. There are a few of us that take part from all over the globe. Here is this weeks...

Before:

After:

I turned the background black and white and enhanced the colors on the chicken to make him stand out. A little vignette on the corners and voila!

Have a great day!

Madison's Pitching Debut

Wednesday night was Madison's first Minor League Girls Softball game. In this league the girls pitch and they can steal bases (all huge steps!). The girls all did excellent. Every girl on the team had at least one hit. Madison did a wonderful job pitching the first and second innings (can you hear the proud coming from me - the girl is following in my footsteps, sniff, sniff). So enjoy the pictures from her pitching debut...

May Flowers #11

Today is the auction at my Grandma Knight's house. It's hard to sell the belongings of a woman who cared so deeply for everything she owned. She took pride in keeping things passed down through the family, things that were her mother's, grandmother's and siblings. Being the sentimental person that I am, I plan to bid on things that I would like to see stay in the family. My husband hopes that those things are small and few in number :)

May Flowers #10

In honor of my Grandma Knight the flowers from today, tomorrow and Friday's post are from her beautiful gardens.
