We spent the not-raining portion of the weekend at American Campgrounds. We had a great time and even occupied ourselves when it did rain a little. We spent most of Saturday indoors and most of Sunday indoors. We are staying out there until Wednesday but even though its the week before school starts, we are crazy busy this week in the the fun begins!

... someone was less than happy to have another pix taken...

Allegan County

I am gearing up for a photo contest in Allegan County so I ventured out last night to take in some of the sights, beauty and landmarks. My minivan headed in the direction of Dorr/Wayland and these are the images I am fond of. Enjoy!

Jennifer & Jason

I had a blast last night taking pictures of Jennifer & Jason. We traipsed all over Milham Park but we got to see a heron and two baby deer who really wanted to cross Kilgore - but our Hero Jason shooed them away to safety! So here is a sneak peak of our session...

What a sweet moment...

A little fun with color...

A fave...

The perfect ending...
Thanks guys for letting me be a part of the fun!
I hope I have captured your spirit and beauty.

Bribes and Beauties

I may be partial but I think I have three beautiful daughters. The only problem is that they are sick of me wanting to take their pictures. I haven't taken pictures of them since last summer so in exchange for the new school clothes I bought them, and a small bribe of getting to wear them before school actually starts...I got to take new pictures!

I Heart Faces

This is my first time entering the I Heart Faces blog photo contest. This weeks subject is Silly, Funny Faces. I love this picture of Little Melody. Who wouldn't love a face like that!

Hamilton Railroad Bridge

While the girls attended Vacation Bible School last week at Trowbridge Methodist, I had an hour or so to kill each evening. I couldn't think of anything I'd rather do than go exploring and take some pictures - big surprise! I ventured to Hamilton and even though I had no idea where - I knew that there was a cool bridge somewhere. My van drove me straight there - go figure! I went back two nights in a row and had fun getting eaten alive by mosquitos and getting some shots of this bridge that straddles the Rabbit River.

Honorable Mention

For the July contest on the Jason D. Moore blog, I once again got a pat on the back for a picture I submitted.

Follow the link above to see the winning photo and the one I submitted (it's the last one - of Kennedy looking out at Lake Michigan).

Points of View #10

This post is a "before post-production" and "after post-production" of an image taken by Jason D. Moore for his blog. He provides the image and people from all over the globe make changes to make it more their own. We send them back to him and he posts them in a regular blog post called Points Of View.

Gull Lake

Madison's softball party was held this weekend on Gull Lake. The kids swam and swam and swam. It rained almost the whole time but they didn't care! The parents tried to stay dry but really the kids couldn't care less. Here are some pictures from the day. You can see the rain at the other end of the lake in picture #3 before it got to us. Beat up Coach Jason was another popular activity (pix #2).
